HELP, my RC HELICOPTER wont turn on?

ok so i brought this rc helicopter today from the local hobie shop which they recommended for beginners like myself so i got home put batteries in the remote charged the heli for 20 minutes (the manual says to charge for 20 minutes) then i turned on the remote then i turned on the heli everything looked ok. i press throttle and the blades just twitched for a .5 second and stopped then the heli turned off automatically so then i tried again exept nothing happened on the heli at all not even the red indicator light!!!. im going to return the heli tomorrow and give up rc heli's
