Breeding and West Nile Shot?

We had plans to breed my mare in 2012 however I stumbled upon an article on births that had gone badly when the mares had gotten their vaccines during pregnancy. I'm not super sure of how old this article is but it really scared me. In two stories, one foal had been born without front legs and another had been born without an eye, a nostril, and had a severe roman nose. Does anyone have any experience with this recently? I'm having my shots done this Saturday and I'm really concerned.
